Hi! My name is Charlotte, my friends call me Lot, and I am so happy that you are here on this little part of the web that I call my own. I live in Amsterdam with my husband and little boy.
What is your day job?
I’m the Chief Strategy Officer and co-founder of Beestar, a learning analytics company. I also write a blog called Blog Illustrations with tutorials and resources on… blog illustrations and blog post illustrations.
Why the emphasis on teachers and free resources?
Teachers deserve a break. I think teachers do an amazing job by investing in our children. Although there are many great websites that offer fantastic teacher’s resources, I wanted to add some graphically appealing resources for free that can’t be found everywhere, such as kindergarten/nursery diploma‘s, little foldable cubes, and all sorts of images.
Do you do swaps or advertisements?
Yes and no.
I decided to do give-aways, not adverts. If you are the owner of a blog and would like me to offer a graphic design give-away (such as a custom designed header, invitation, birth announcement, etc) please get in touch. This would be a great opportunity for you to offer your readers a great and very unique prize.
Regarding swaps, to be very honest, I don’t like to clutter my sidebar with adverts so in that sense I don’t do advertisements. However, I do like highlighting other blogs so if you think that your site could be of interest to my readers please drop me a line so we can discuss what your ideas are (for example, I could write a post about your product or offer a give-away).
What’s your favourite type of post?
I love doing tutorials. They cost me a lot of time and effort but I really want to show that the ideas you have in mind aren’t so hard to achieve if you just follow the recipe.
